Description:
- Participate in the review of business, experience design and technology requirements to ensure clarity and testability
- Adopt existing, and/or prepare and enhance the testing frameworks, test plans and support the development of test scripts (manual and automated) to exercise the requirements
- Prepare and execute test strategies for our Global IT Change and Implementation process, as well as related applications under test
- Perform planning, development, technical writing, execution of
- Functional testing,
- Automated testing,
- Performance testing
- User Acceptance Testing, etc
- Align project teams (including project managers, business analysts, experience designers, technologists and business stakeholders) around all aspects of software testing and software quality control processes including scheduling, estimation and issue management
- Integrate the testing and quality assurance plans with the development lifecycle for both agile and waterfall projects
- Be responsible for the deliverables of both manual and automated testing through individual contributions and other testing resources within projects
- Prepare testing data requirements
- Document test evidence in conformance to IT, Audit, Compliance and Security standards
- Develop and communicate solution acceptance criteria
- Identify and partner to deliver the appropriate balance of manual and automated testing
- Support environment / release management
- Support the deployment processes
- Maintain and document testing coverage for all the supported platforms and devise plan to improve quality coverage.
- Manages all risks associated with the testing and takes preventative action when any risks become unacceptable.
- Maintain and enhance the company's Testing Framework, which includes Test Management Process and Tools to achieve global software quality and accelerate time to market in alignment to software product release schedules.
- Responsible in devising and operationalizing the test management tools upgrades, backup and recovery process and test servers/machines and capacity planning.
- Familiar with industry standards, Good Manufacturing Practice and SOX compliance, and drives efforts to bring IT changes into conformance with such standards in partnership with IT leaders, Global Compliance, Global Security and Quality Assurance team
- Maintain the validated states of IT systems and applications under tests.
- Lead in recommending, implementing and maintaining automated testing system software (such as UFT, Selenium, etc), in alignment with overall IT strategy.
- Manage all risks associated to testing and take preventative actions.
- Responsible for functional duties assigned by direct manager
- Provides advice and guidance to colleagues on any aspect of testing, including training for testers and other developers where appropriate.
- Create weekly project or major activity status reports as required
- Observe the principles of Occupational Health & Safety Legislation.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of testing experience working in a QA global and distributed team structure.
- Able to develop, execute, generate reports, etc using various automated testing tools such as but not limited to HP Functional Test, HP Load Runner, JMeter, Galen, Selenium etc.
- Able to troubleshoot issues arise from using these automated testing tools
- Able to positively and effectively work on manual or automated testing scope.
- Experience in using HP Application Life Cycle Management (i.e. ALM) to create requirements, test plan, test labs, track defects and create logical relationships.
- Experience in testing ERP, CRM, eCommerce application or other web application like Brand sites, Content Management applications.
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
- Experience with bug management tools like JIRA
- Experience with Java based development environment.
