Description:
Key tasks and responsibilities :• Contribute to the full project lifecycle and be involved in the ultimate delivery;
• Continuously communicate with the client, particularly verbally, to engage, understand and develop
• Manage and continuously monitor the planning, development, installation and completion of the project, ensuring on time and on budget while assessing the business implications for each; budget impact;
• Ensure a smooth changeover from the current IT platforms (including integrations) to the new one, including arranging Train the Trainer sessions;
• Sign off and evaluate completed tasks;
• Produce clear project plans and status reports;
• Influence the project sponsors at all levels in the decision making process and strategic direction of the project;
• Manage and operate governance and compliance of the project according to domestic legal requirements and client policies whilst ensuring the compliance of policies and contractual obligations;
• Ensure that risks are managed effectively including risk identification, assessment and the implementation of mitigation plans;
• Drive innovation and stay ahead of the curve with new technologies and out of the box thinking;
• Report to the client’s and senior management team
Requirement :
•Experience working as a Project Manager for a Logistics or Postal company
•Experience in technology delivery: operations transformation;
•Prince 2, MSP or similar qualification including Waterfall/Agile methodologies
5+ years experience in managing complex, large-sized projects with a demonstrable track record of successful delivery and engagement
•Experience working as a Project Manager for a software company (SAAS)
•Experience of working with governance and risk management strategies through the application of project management standards, applying your knowledge and experience to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues where appropriate
•Experience of using work management tools and knowledge repositories like JIRA and Confluence, or equivalent
•Willingness to travel and stay away from home regularly
