KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for leading the Project & Construction Division overlooking the construction management for internal projects and development, ensuring the construction is completed on time to the highest quality standards and within budget. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction operations, including project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and compliance with safety regulations. Work closely with inter-divisions, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that projects meet the company expectations and industry standards. Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive the Project & Construction Division and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. 1. To lead the Construction Team, including Cost and Contract, Preliminary Team, Project Managers & Engineers, Subcontractors & Suppliers, and all relevant stakeholders to achieve the project objectives and milestones. 2. Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion. 3. Develop and implement project strategies & plans, schedules, and budgets. 4. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and standards. 5. Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment. 6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. 7. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed. 8. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction. 9. Present project reports, including progress reports, project planning, and risk assessments (to identifying potential threats, challenges, and uncertainties that could affect project objectives, timelines & budgets), to Top Management and stakeholders. 10. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the Project & Construction Division. 11. Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with potential clients (if applicable). 12. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. 13. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders. 14. Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies. 15. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality. 16. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, suppliers, service providers and subcontractors to secure the necessary resources for project execution. 17. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all projects. 18. Provide leadership and guidance to division’s team members. 19. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices. 20. Maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction and project delivery QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural/Mechanical/ Architecture/Construction Management/ Quantity surveying and any similar qualification. 2. At least 20 years of working experience in related field. 3. Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, preferably hotel and high-end projects. 4. Knowledge of relevant regulations, building codes, and industry standards governing property development projects. 5. A dynamic leadership will be crucial in driving the success of the construction projects and maintaining our reputation for excellence. 6. Strong leadership and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a deep understanding of construction processes and best practices. 7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. 8. Required language: English, Malay & Mandarin 9. Computer literate and knowledge in Microsoft Office, CAD Software, BIM Software and any relevant construction software.
