Description:
Job Purpose: Develop all aspects of commercial price decision in market, product design and development, underwriting rules and guidelines and explore the different product, pricing and underwriting options and strategies to enable optimal portfolio balance between growth.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
- 8 years strong working knowledge of general insurance is required for this position.
- 5 years of technical proficiency in the field
- Preferably experience in underwriting, product or pricing discipline
Roles & responsibilities:
- Contribute in planning and strategizing to ensure portfolio growth and profitability
- Plan for portfolio mix that optimizes long term performance and return
- Explore different product, pricing and underwriting options and strategies to enable optimal portfolio balance between growth and profit
- Analyzing statistical data to ensure profitability; evaluate possibility of losses due to a specified claim trend, loss type or age segment
- Understand customer's needs and behaviors to increase success rate
- Develop product and prices that suit customer's need
- Provide technical support internal and externally to improve awareness
- Define and review of process to ensure the most effective and efficient delivery of products, pricing and underwriting
- Explore different product, pricing & underwriting options and strategies for the team
- Lead any of the MISC/SME portfolio projects in order to improve performance of the team
