Description:
PURPOSE
Contribute with assisting in leading product development activities including planning and guiding on research, product analysis of existing and new products and competitors’ analysis particular focusing on the aspect of all technical and underwriting related matters including policy wording.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
? Assist to develop and review pricing, policy wording on new and / or enhanced products in accordance with company’s underwriting guide and direction.
? Assist to follow up and work with respective Managers including Underwriters in underwriting departments.
? Assist to develop and promote products in alignment to business strategies, IT and underwriting policies.
? Assist in liaising with IT for product set-up and overseeing UAT Testing of products before promoting to live environment.
? Assist by guiding Bus in relation to achieving targeted GWPs set by Product Development or Marketing on newly developed or enhanced products.
? Assist to monitor the market trend, where applicable by exploring and adopting useful research tools or information.
? Assist, where possible, analyze the product differentials and competitive advantages between Malaysia, Regional & Industry / Competitor Practices when necessary and requested to do so.
? Develop and maintain information library on internal product development’s underwriting criteria, processes, terms and conditions and policy wordings, clauses, etc.
? Any other tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

? Products with appropriate structure, policy wordings, premium pricing and ensuring in accordance with company’s guidelines and regulatory guidelines

? Budget / Expense control and monitoring
QUALIFICATION
? Degree Holder
? Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience in general insurance operations preferably with underwriting / claims and / or insurance project management experience.
KNOWLEDGE
? Sound knowledge of general insurance products
? Underwriting experience preferably in Personal Lines products
? Knowledge in product set-up involving core operating systems
? Preferably with good knowledge in the analysis of market research
? Preferably some knowledge of Internet & Web Based solutions
